This information was conveyed by Krafton through their official blog. In his announcement, Krafton thanked him for playing the PUBG Lite game during the Covid 19 pandemic. But unfortunately, Krafton didn't give any reasons why the PUBG Lite game was closed.

"Unfortunately, we made quite a tough decision in closing this service. A lot of consideration and time to make this decision," said Krafton.

As the name implies, PUBG Lite itself was made by Krafton for fans of the PUBG game who have a PC with low specifications. Because, the original version itself requires high enough specifications so that not everyone can play the PUBG game. As a result, PUBG Lite is much favored, especially by PC owners with low specifications.

With the loss of the Lite version, of course PUBG fans on PC must play the original version via Steam. Krafton itself last updated on PUBG Lite in January 2020 when the Vikendi map was introduced in the PUBG game.
