PBESI ANNOUNCES 66 ESPORTS ATHLETES CHOSEN TO REPRESENT INDONESIA AT THE 2021 SEA GAMES HANOI

The first phase of the Indonesian Esports Team's National Training Center (Pelatnas) for the 2021 SEA Games has officially ended. A total of 128 athletes from 10 esports sports have participated in the National Training which will be held on 1–10 March 2022. This number has been reduced to 66 athletes to represent Indonesia at the 2021 SEA Games which will take place on 12–23 May 2022 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The athletes who took part in the First Stage of National Training had undergone a series of intensive training led by each coach according to the number of games they participated in. The training program covers technical, physical, psychological, mental, strategy, analysis and nutrition skills.

Richard Permana, Head Coach of the National Esports Team for the 2021 SEA Games expressed his gratitude for the smooth running of the First Phase of the National Training. "High appreciation for all the dedication and commitment that has been given by the athletes and team owners who overshadow it. There are many positive things that can be learned and saved by athletes to be used as capital for special experiences in the future.”


Richard also conveyed the message to the athletes, “The First Stage of National Training has been successfully held. Athletes have presented the best versions of themselves and followed the entire program of the coaches selected. We believe that athletes will move forward with renewable passion after returning from this stage. Keep learning, keep growing, gather experience until one night you will score the best achievements for our beloved country, Indonesia.”
