PBESI SUMMARIZES THE 2022 ESPORTS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ACTIVITIES HELD IN BALI

The 2022 Esports World Championship or the 14th IESF World Championship which will be held in Bali in November this year is one of the most important agendas in the Great Design of the Indonesian Esports Executive Board (PBESI) 2022. This was conveyed by the Daily Chair of PBESI, Komjen Pol. Drs. Bambang Sunarwibowo, S.H., M. Hum. during his meeting with the Secretary General of the International Esports Federation (IESF), Boban Totovsky in Jakarta (11/3).

On this occasion the Daily Chair of PBESI also said that to ensure the success of the 2022 Esports World Championship which will be attended by more than 120 countries, PBESI has coordinated and collaborated with various related parties, such as the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) and the Ministry of Tourism. and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Kemenparekraf).

Coordination is also carried out by PBESI with various organizations and national esports communities to determine various fundamental needs and interests, such as the selection of games to be competed, location and accommodation readiness, and critically is the preparation of network infrastructure to ensure the smooth running of the championship.

"We express our highest appreciation to IESF who has given confidence to Indonesia as the host of this grand world-scale event. This World Championship is not only important for the development of the country's esports world, but is also important in accelerating the wheels of the national economy from the digital creative industry and tourism sectors. For this reason, PBESI will continue to uphold its commitment to make the 2022 Esports World Championship the golden standard that will be a barometer for similar events in the future," said PBESI Daily Chair Komjen Pol. Drs. Bambang Sunarwibowo, S.H., M. Hum.

Responding to PBESI's commitment and seriousness in preparing for the 2022 Esports World Championship, IESF Secretary General Boban Totovsky expressed his appreciation and support. “The enthusiasm, seriousness and strong commitment shown by PBESI strengthens our optimism for the realization of a successful Esports World Championship. IESF will continue to provide support to PBESI.”

Meanwhile, on the same occasion, General Chairperson of the Indonesian Olympic Committee Raja Sapta Octohari said that the 2022 Esports World Championship and the entire PBESI Grand Design have an important meaning for increasing national sports competence, especially esports, in the international arena.

"The development of early childhood athletes, the implementation of a systematic and measurable level of the national competition system through national championships, the National Training Center for the SEA Games and the Asian Games, as well as other ecosystem empowerment programs run by PBESI, build our confidence in the contribution and world-class achievements of Indonesian esports. which will continue to increase in the future,” said Raja.
