There is something different from the grand event of the National Sports Week or PON this year where Esports is one of the exhibition sports that are competed in this event. It was noted that there were several games being competed such as Free Fire, Mobile Legends, PES 2021 and Mobile Legends of course.

The selection process itself has been running in several cities to find who will represent their city to compete in the upcoming XX Papua PON. Several cities have even announced their best Rooster who will compete in PON XX Papua.

So, is there a name for the pro player who joined? Here's the full leak:

* West Kalimantan : Lord
* Bali: Red Grfn
* Bengkulu: Rdehasen DBAsia
* Papua: Team Forza
* East Java: Reynaldy, Fajar, Icang, Rohma and Raditya
* West Sumatra: SS Esports
* South Sulawesi: Jeux
* North Sulawesi: HCT NCKL
* Southeast Sulawesi: UHO Esports

From the names released, it was not seen that the pro players participated in the XX Papua PON Esports Exhibition. One of the reasons is the implementation of PON which clashes with the upcoming Indonesian MPL event. That way, the pro players will focus on the upcoming MPL Indonesia event. Not only that, if pro players participate in the PON XX event, their focus will also be divided because on average one team does not come from the same area.

The Pre-PON itself will be held from 7 to 14 September. As for the final, it will take place from 22 to 26 September 2021.
