Riot Games as the developer of the legendary MOBA game League of Legends has again launched a claim against Moonton. Riot Games feels that there are allegations of copyright related to the similarity of attributes in the Mobile Legends game.

Previously, Riot Games had done the same thing in 2017 when Moonton's game still carried the name Mobile Legends: 5V5 MOBA. When the lawsuit was filed, Riot Games received a rejection from the California court, the court recommended that the case be heard in a Chinese court.

5 years later, in 2022, Riot Games again sued Moonton with the same case, namely about plagiarism. Riot Games' lawsuit against Moonton was filed in a California, United States court.

This time, Riot Games demands that Moonton no longer plagiarize Riot Games' intellectual property rights. In its lawsuit, Riot Games also attaches various evidences that are alleged to have the same resemblance both in terms of characters and promotions carried out by Moonton.
