Riot Games as the developer of the Wild Rift game revealed their long-term plans for the current esports scene. This was conveyed by Leo Faria as Head of Esports from Wild Rift through his official personal blog post.

Riot Games has plans to establish an independent Wild Rift game esports scheme. The independent meaning here is that it has nothing to do with the League of Legends game on PC. They also have the desire to bring the big tournament Wild Rift game to all corners of the world. Especially for the Southeast Asian region, which has a high interest in esports.

Leo Faria stated that building an ecosystem in mobile MOBA games, especially Wild Rift, requires a lot of time and consideration. According to him, inspiring fans to play mobile games is one of the most important aspects in building an esports ecosystem.

In his post, Leo Faria also revealed that Riot plans to expand the Esports stage for the Wild Rift game. Not only that, Riot is also committed to making Wild Rift the first mobile game with the largest reach globally. Therefore, Riot itself will begin to reach some western regions such as America, Europe and the Middle East.

Leo also added that Riot would move quickly and aggressively to several regions such as Southeast Asia and China. This is very reasonable considering that Esports is so popular in the two regions.
