In November, Garena officially decided that the biggest Free Fire Tournament in the World, namely the Free Fire World Championship (FFWS 2021) was canceled due to Covid 19 recovery. As a result, players and teams had to be more patient waiting for this tournament to be held in 2022.

Garena, of course, did not remain silent in order to resolve the disappointment of the Free Fire community. As a result, they revealed that there is a new tournament that is no less fierce, namely the 2021 Free Fire Asia Championship for the Asian region. This tournament itself is planned to be held at the end of 2021 and is ready to bring together the best teams in the Asian continent for a total prize of 400,000 USD.

This tournament itself will be held in an attractive format where there will be 31 teams from 7 regions in Asia. The seven regions include Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Taiwan and Vietnam. Especially for Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand get a 5 yim slot. While other countries only get 4 slots.

The Play Ins phase itself will last for two days from November 20 to 21, 2021. On the first day, twelve teams from group A will compete, while on the second day twelve teams from group B will compete. Each group will compete for 2 slots to qualify for the grand final. One other slot will belong to the teams in the best 3 positions for groups A and B.

Overall, there will be 12 teams competing in the grand final. The teams that compete in the grand final round which will be held on November 28, 2021, will fight for 7 rods with the same map format, namely Bermuda, Kalahari and Purgatory. The Indonesian team that got a direct ticket to the grand final was EVOS Divine.
